Whiteley Corporation is Australia’s largest manufacturer of sterilants, disinfectants and healthcare cleaning technologies.

Proudly based in the Hunter Valley, Whiteley Corporation is working hard to ensure supply of infection prevention products to the healthcare sector to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.

“We understand people are currently concerned about the Coronavirus pandemic,” executive chairman Dr Greg Whiteley said.

“Thorough cleaning and disinfection supported with good hand hygiene are the best ways to reduce the spread of Coronavirus.

“Whiteley Corporation believes patient safety should be protected by technology that reduces the risks of healthcare-associated infections.”

The company has created a range of world-first products at its facility in Tomago that have been instrumental in protecting patients from infection in healthcare.

“Whiteley Corporation has collaborated with universities around the world and as a local manufacturer, we are leading the way in world-class research,” Dr Whiteley said.

“In 2018, Whiteley Corporation announced a $5 million-plus investment in a new manufacturing research partnership between the University of Sydney, Whiteley Corporation, and the Innovative Manufacturing Cooperative Research Centre.

“The company is now in the advanced stages of lodging a development application to build a new Human Therapeutics plant on the Tomago site.”

This project highlight’s Whiteley Corporation’s commitment to ongoing research, which will lead to an increase in industry diversification, create the need for new skills, and employment opportunities for the Hunter Region.
