David Chuter discusses with Lindsay McDougall, host of Drive, ABC Radio Illawarra, if Skippy – an Australian icon – could be the answer to a growing global ligament and tendon repair market.

Researchers from the University of Sydney in collaboration with Bone Ligament Tendon (BLT) Pty Ltd, Allegra Orthopaedics, and the Innovative Manufacturing CRC Limited (IMCRC), are testing if kangaroo tendons which are up to six times stronger than currently used repair material could be the ligament graft and bone-fixation solution of the future.
